Scrum Master and Product Owner

While Code Institute recommends one Scrum Master, we suggest having both a Scrum Master and a Product Owner.

Product Owner

The term 'Product Owner' is just that—a term. In reality, the product is owned collectively by the hackathon team, not just by the PO.

Scrum Master Tasks

• Acts as a facilitator and coach for the Scrum Team.
• Ensures that the team follows Scrum practices.
• Advocates for Agile Principles.
• Ensures adherence to Agile Methodologies.
• Removes impediments or obstacles.
• Promotes focus, productivity, and efficiency.
• Encourages communication and team collaboration.

Product Owner Tasks

• Is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and managing the Product Backlog.
• Prioritizes tasks based on business and customer needs.
• Ensures the team understands the requirements.
• Focuses on the product's vision and end-user needs.
